Bangistan is a 2015 Bollywood black comedy satirical film directed by Karan Anshuman and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The film is set in the fictitious country of Bangistan, which suffers from a large number of terrorist attacks. Hafeez Bin Ali (Riteish Deshmukh) is a Muslim who works at a call center and quits his job after being humiliated by customers. He joins a local Muslim community, where the leader brainwashes him and persuades him to conduct a terrorist attack at the World Religious Conference in Poland. To cover his identity, he uses a fake Hindu name, Ishwarchand Sharma. Praveen Chaturvedi (Pulkit Samrat) is a Hindu who is devoted to his god Guruji and attacks anyone who insults him. Guruji asks Praveen to conduct a terrorist attack at the same conference in Poland. To cover his identity, he uses a fake Muslim name, Allah Rakha Khan. Praveen and Hafeez meet at the airport and become friends, unaware of each other's real intentions. They also fall in love with the same girl, Rosie (Jacqueline Fernandez), who works at a bar. They buy bombs from different dealers and assemble them in their hotel rooms. They reveal their plans to each other, thinking they are on the same side. They work together to execute their mission, but along the way, they realize that they have been brainwashed and used by their leaders. They decide to stop the attack and expose the truth to the world.
